This program is designed to meet the criteria as specified by Rule 64B4-7.004 Florida Administrative Code Use of the Title

“Sex Therapist.”

Classes are held on Saturdays from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Jackson North Medical Center in North Miami Beach, convenient to I-95, SR826 (Palmetto Expressway) and the Florida Turnpike.

The cost for the education program is $3,600.  The 20 hours of supervision will be $30 per group hour and $75 per individual hour. A $500 deposit is required for registration. Students may arrange a payment plan with Dr. Clark.

Upon completion of the program, students holding a state license will be Certified by the Sex Therapy Training Institute as Sex Therapists.

Programe Evaluation

Title of “Sex Therapist”

“It is the intent of the Board of Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling, to assure that those practitioners who hold themselves out to the public as sex therapists have completed a minimum level of training in the specific area of sex therapy and the general provision of clinical, counseling and psychotherapy services.” (FAC 64B4-7.004)

The Sex Therapy Training Institute 
meets those requirements by providing 120 hours of education in the areas specified in the Rule, as well as the supervision requirement of 20 hours.

The Sex Therapy Training Program will be offering 10 hours in each of the following course content areas:

  1. Sexual and reproductive anatomy and physiology
  2. Developmental sexuality
  3. Gender Identity Issues
  4. Socio-cultural factors in sexual values and behavior
  5. Medical factors related to sexuality and sexual functioning
  6. Interaction between sexuality and dynamics of interpersonal and  family relationships
  7. Sexual offender treatment
  8. Diagnosis of sexual dysfunctions, disorders, and deviancy
  9. Treatment of sexual dysfunctions, disorders, and deviancy
  10. Risk assessment with sex offenders
  11. Sexual abuse treatment
  12. Sexually Transmitted Disease

    Driving Directions
    Jackson North Medical Center is located east of the Golden Glades Interchange, providing easy access from I-95, Florida’s Turnpike and the Palmetto Expressway (826).
    Directions:
    From the North Exit I-95 at SR 826 east. At the light (NW 2nd Avenue), make a left. Jackson North Medical Center is on the right.
    From the Northeast Take Miami Gardens Drive west to NE 6th Avenue. Make a left. Head south to 167th Street. Make a right onto NW 1st Avenue. Make a right into Jackson North Medical Center.
    From the East Take NE 163 Street (SR 826) west to NE 1st Avenue. Make right into Jackson North Medical Center.
    From the South Take I-95 north and exit at SR 826 east. At the light (NW 2nd Avenue), make a left. Jackson North Medical Center is on the right.
